Pacific Rim (PR) has been handcrafting solid maple furniture since 1981. The contemporary American style furniture is built entirely in Eugene, Oregon.
PR makes maple cribs that change to youth beds and day beds. They also make nightstands, dressers and armoires.
Sustainable Features (from website):
- Western Maple wood comes from a supplier that has received a certificate to sell "Chain of Custody" products under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) rules as administered by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) for their softwood harvests.
- Excess maple is donated to local schools and community center for wood shop projects and low-income families for heat during winter months.
- Sawdust is recycled into compost at local lawn and garden centers.
