Kenana Knitter Critters

Kenana Knitter Critters

Kenana Knitter Critters are hand-crafted by a group of Kenyan women in a Fair Trade work environment. The women gather the wool from farms, wash it and then dye the wool with plant-based dyes. After that the wool is moth-proofed with a Pyrethrum Flower and spun on bicycle wheels.

Each critter is signed by the woman who made it. Colors and details vary per item due to the nature of the production process.

As the popularity of the critters and dolls grow, so does the number of women empowered to enhance in the economic growth of their families and communities.
