Kate Quinn Infant Sacques

Kate Quinn Organics makes wonderful clothes: the cotton is so soft, the styles are too cute (but in a cool kinda way), and the colors are just gorgeous. And to top it all off, they're organic. I used the think the prices were a bit steep, but that was before my son had any Kate Quinn in his wardrobe...

I purchased two Kate Quinn Infant Sacques used. They're both in Chocolate - perfect for my blue-eyed, dark-haired boy. The size listed is 0-3 months, and I was actually able to use these on my boy from his earliest days (and he was an average-sized baby at birth). Clothing that actually fits a newborn and continues to fit is hard to find!

He's almost five months now, and only this week have I put the Sacques away for the next babe. It's true that his feet have stuck out of the bottom for some time, but otherwise they still fit great (and he's now big for his age, mostly fitting in 6-12 month clothes).

There are several reasons why we kept using them for so long. In the early days, the little hand mitts were really great. Nothing makes you feel like a bad parent more than a bright red scratch on your baby's face!

We also really liked the snaps down the front. I know lots of folks like lap necks, but I think snaps down the front provide a wider opening (thus making it easier to dress baby, which can be stressful early on). The elasticized opening at the bottom is super cute, but also (more importantly) makes diaper changing easy.

The only thing I'm not thrilled about is the lasting quality of the cotton. Because I bought these used, they've been washed and worn many times. So, considering that, I think they've held up very well (well enough to use on another baby). I just want everything to be perfect for my little one. :)

For my next baby, I'll be buying some new ones and in more than one size. Love them!
