gDiapers are a wonderful combination of disposable and cloth diapers. We've been using them off and on with our daughter since birth. She's now four months old and they still work great.
Likes:
- They are biodegradable. We compost the wet ones and flush the poopy ones down the toilet. Since we only flush the poopy ones, our plumbing isn't overloaded (we live in a 50 year old house).
You just tear off the sides of the diaper pad, shake the insides into the toilet, swish with the plastic stick that comes with the kit and flush. It's quick and easy.
- No stinky diapers to add odor to the baby's room.
- You can order them online to be delivered right to your door.
- You can also use the covers with regular cloth diapers.
- Less laundry to do, so saves on water and soap and time.
Dislikes:- They are a little more expensive then disposables, but they don't add to the landfills, which makes them worth the added expense.
- Blowouts can be a little hard for the gDiaper to contain, but we've yet to have any stained clothing while using these (unlike the disposables which seem to leak a lot).
Overall, we love the gDiapers and will continue to use them until our daughter no longer needs diapers. They are fairly convenient, easy to use, and leave the room stink free.
