I love that my husband and I can both easily use the ergo interchangeably. I love how comfortable the carrier is to wear. I love that I'll be able to use it for a long time, in three different carrying positions (front, back, and hip).

My son is constantly sucking on the straps of the carrier. I feel much better knowing that it is made of organic cotton. And I recently ordered the newly available sucking pads that he can suck on all he wants and can be washed more often than the carrier itself.

Dislikes:

In the front carry position, the baby can only ride rear facing, not forward facing. Ben has only ever ridden in this carrier and doesn't know any different so he doesn't seem to mind. Also I use it mostly when I want him to eventually fall asleep as he gets tired and he'd never do that in the forward position.

I only used the infant insert once, when my son was a week old. It was early May in Texas and it was too hot for both him and my husband to add the extra layer. Plus, Ben didn't like the side carry position recommended with the insert. He was also a big baby -almost 10 pounds at birth. So we quickly just put him in the carrier frogged up on our chests, like he prefers anyway and strapped him in tight.
