• Mama To Be Tea Sampler

  The package contains 16 tea bags in four varieties: Morning Wellness Tea, Peaceful Mama Tea, Third Trimester Tea, Heartburn Tea.

  I've tried all the teas except the third trimester tea and they are tasty and calming. I add a little agave nectar for sweetness and enjoy them because I had been avoiding tea due to warnings online about herbs and pregnancy.

  Please note that this tea has the same warning on the label - to consult your healthcare provider about the use of herbs while pregnant or nursing. I didn't see that part of the label because I was so excited to try the teas - oops. Don't follow me in this instance, take the box in during your next prenatal visit and hopefully then you can enjoy your tea guilt-free.

  All in all I experienced only relaxation and relief from symptoms like heartburn while drinking the tea. I also know that most herbal products, natural oils and supplements contain such labels because very little (or no) testing has been done on pregnant women taking these substances. Whereas most chemical grade substances and their claims have been tested as "safe" for consumption during pregnancy prior to going to market�.

• Earth Mama Body Butter

  The consistency of this product is much more like a lotion than a body butter. But I welcome that, as lotion is currently a gap in my organic body care regiment.

  The natural fragrances are nice and not overwhelming and it effectively moisturizes.

  The bottle is more of a sample size, so I ultimately put it my purse for embarrassingly dry hands and arms days. Of course I wish it were bigger and had more of a squeeze and/or pump applicator vs. having to screw off the cap pour it in your hands. I see this is resolved if you purchase one of the larger size bottles a la carte.

  Ingredients: Organic Aloe, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Rooibos Extract, Organic Palm Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Palm Stearic Acid, Vegetable Emulsifying Wax, Organic Palm Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Rosehip Oil, Organic Borage Oil, Vanilla, Organic Vanilla Extract, Neroli Essential Oil, Xanthan Gum, Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil.

• Natural Stretch Oil

  I use this on my tummy, hips, buttocks and even to massage my feet. The natural fragrance is similar to the lotion and quite refreshing and calming.

  The product is designed to moisturize and encourage elasticity. It is definitely effective at moisturizing, regarding elasticity I'd probably have needed to use this consistently over the entire pregnancy. I can tell you I would have loved to try this on my previously un-stretched body the first time around:)

  The label also says you can use it for pre-labor perineal massage. I have not tried it for this purpose, but will probably stick to plain olive oil this time around since it worked for my first pregnancy.

  With the screw cap applicator on this sample size, you have to be careful not to waste this precious oil, but again if you decide to order a larger bottle, it has a spray applicator for easier application.

  Ingredients: grape seed oil, organic jojoba seed oil, organic borage seed oil, organic chamomile extract, organic calendula extract, a proprietary blend of organic orange essential oil, neroli oil.

• Bottom Balm

  Designed to soothe swelling, hemorrhoids, tears etc. that come after birth, I didn't think I'd have much use for this one during my pregnancy. But it turns out I had a little chaffing during many sweaty days in 100 degree plus Texas weather. I put some of this on the inflammation after an evening shower and it went down by morning.

  But I must tell you, don't over do it on the first application. At first you feel nothing when you put it on, then after a few minutes, when you've moved on to another activity you start to feel the tingling effects of the peppermint oil. It can stop you in your tracks if you've put on too much. That said, the bottom balm a great tool for your pre and post-natal healing.

  Ingredients: organic olive oil, witch hazel leaf, organic St. John's wort extract, organic calendula extract, organic yarrow extract, shea butter, candelilla wax, organic jojoba oil, proprietary blend of lavender oil, peppermint oil

• Happy Feet

  Finding time to soak my feet with a three-year old in the house was a task. But if I had known how good this herbal foot soak smelled, I would have at least opened the jar sooner for an occasional calming inhale:)

  I enjoyed my soak and will definitely do again soon as a pre-cursor to putting my feet up or going to bed to reduce swelling. More than I noticed an immediate reduction in swelling, I noticed the act of soaking my feet made me do something I hadn't done in a while: sit quietly in my bathroom with my own thoughts and no other distractions. This is true pampering.

  Ingredients: sea salt, Epsom salt, organic rosemary leaf, organic peppermint leaf, organic thyme leaf, organic yarrow flower, organic lavender flower and organic roses with organic lavender oil and organic peppermint oil

Features To Love

• All of Earth Mama Angel Baby's products have an easy to read ingredient list containing natural and organic ingredients. I took no issue with putting any of these ingredients on my pregnant body's skin, knowing they'd be absorbed into my bloodstream.
  
  
• The product gives you the opportunity to sample many of Earth Mama Angel Baby's organic pregnancy products at an affordable price.

Room For Improvement

• The sample size lotion and oil bottles could be more user- friendly and reduce spills with a pump or squeeze applicator.
  
  
• The foot soak, which is essentially like a loose leaf tea for your feet, could be a little messy to prepare and clean up. Earth Mama Angel Baby does provide a muslin bag, but the soak can seep out and the water changes colors, so do this on a hard, easy to clean floor vs. a carpet.

The Bottom Line

The Pregnancy Pampering Kit products are all about taking care of me, and I deserve that. I have to remind myself of this fact and having these products at my disposal is a friendly reminder.

I definitely recommend these Earth Mama Angel Baby products to, you, my readers and can tell you that before my delivery date I will be ordering the Postpartum Recovery Kit because after birth healing is no joke and I'd much rather try these before using the pharmaceutical products they give out at the hospital.

Editor's Update: Since this review was written Earth Mama Angel Baby has discontinued the Pregnancy Pampering Kit and now offers the Pregnancy Essentials Bundle. Likewise, the PostPartum Recovery Kit is now the Postpartum Recovery Essentials Bundle. In those bundles you can find many of the same products mentioned above and/or by them a la carte.
