Product Review: Under The Nile Organic Baby Toys

In desperate need of baby toys my daughter could sink her teething gums into, I recently purchased the Under The Nile Organic Fruit Basket. They are made of 100% organic cotton from handpicked from Egypt and are free from pesticides and petrochemicals that are found in most plush toys. My hope is that these organic toys will be dual-purposed: both teaching tools and soothing aids for her gums. When the package arrived, I was a little surprised at how small it was. For some reason I thought the fruit and basket would be larger. However, when I handed them to my daughter I discovered they are the perfect size for babies' small mouths and hands. All in all I'm impressed with the quality and love the colors. My daughter is eleven months now, so she is not saying the names of her fruits yet. However, we do take them on outings in the car and grocery store and they work as a nice alternative comforter (she used to play with my car keys). At home I have to work a little harder to get her to focus on the organic toys. That means putting away some of the toys that aren't clearly labeled for when she's older. I don't know how long the teething phase will last, but for now I'm glad we have some toys that are healthy from the inside out. If you are looking for one more reason to like this fresh basket of organic fruit here are a few: - They are machine washable
- They are dyed with metal-free and vegetable dyes
- The manufacturer, Under The Nile, practices fair trade employment
